Money Saving Ideas

No matter where you are on your financial journey, you need to know that it’s possible to turn things around. Most of the time all it takes is that first step in the right direction to get things moving in your favor. But, as with most things, sometimes that very first step seems IMPOSSIBLE.

That’s why I’ve created this list of some ways to start saving money today. None of these tactics will be life changing on their own, but they can make quite a difference over time if you’re able to do several of them at once.

1. Are you using FREE CHECKING?

Never pay a bank to manage your checking accounts! There are so many FREE CHECKING accounts out there! Why pay? I also recommend a local credit union!

2. Still paying HUNDREDS of dollars for CABLE TV?

Why in the world would you do that? I did it for years but finally wised up! Loyalty to the monopoly companies means absolutely NOTHING to them! Honestly, if you were on fire they would just let you burn! Lol and that’s exactly what your money is doing when you give it to them month after month after month aft….(you get the idea) BURNING! I’m sitting here while typing this watching a PERFECT PICTURE using a one time purchase (40-60.00 depending on the strength) digital antenna available at your local Wally World. Total savings: 130.00/month.

Omg…..this one just KILLS ME! What a joke these monopolies have become! Junk fee after junk fee! And these 2 year prison sentences that come along with these RIDICULOUS PRICES! But I know….you’re brand oriented and feel like nothing else compares right? Well I’m here to tell you there are many alternatives that DOES compare and quite nicely for that matter. I currently use Cricket Wireless and it’s flawless. Total cost 35.00/month. Total savings: 100.00/month.

When you cook….COOK TONS and don’t eat out so much!

I’m talking about casseroles, stews, soups etc. Cook plenty so you can proportion it in containers and freeze it for future use. If you have something pre-made it contributes to the simplicity of fixing something and you are less likely to eat out so often.

5. This is an oldy but goody. MONITOR YOUR ELECTRICITY USAGE!

If you aren’t in a particular room, TURN OFF THE LIGHTS! Also upgrade to LED bulbs. You’ll notice a difference in your bill the first month. Wash and dry WHOLE loads and not partial loads. Just plain common $en$e will save you tons of money over the years.

I realize none of this is new and it’s all things we already know. So why don’t we do it? Why are we so wasteful? MONEY SAVED TODAY will make your life BETTER TOMORROW!
